Medicare Supplement Plans

Medicare Supplement Plans

Medicare Supplement policies, also known as Medigap policies, are private insurance plans that help cover some of the out-of-pocket costs not covered by Original Medicare, such as copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles.

There are 10 standardized plans available, each with a different set of benefits, and are offered by private insurance companies. These plans are only available to individuals who are already enrolled in Original Medicare. The benefits of these plans are standardized, meaning that the coverage offered by a Plan A, for example, will be the same regardless of which insurance company offers it.
